Sunrise Circle is a friendly companion check-in service. It is not an emergency service, a medical or healthcare service, a caregiving service, or a monitoring/alarm service. If you or someone else has a medical or safety emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Do not rely on Sunrise Circle, its check-ins, its matches, or its escalation feature to summon emergency help. Check-ins and notifications may be delayed, missed, or fail to deliver, and the people involved are members and volunteers, not trained responders.
You must be an adult (18+) and able to form a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current.
Each morning Sunrise Circle pairs you with another member for a friendly check-in — one of you reaches out, the other receives, and roles rotate. You can call or message within the app. Matching, availability, and delivery are provided on a best-effort basis and may not always be available.
You can block or report another member in the app. We may review reports and may suspend or remove members who violate these Terms.
If you choose to add a trusted contact, you confirm you have their permission to share their contact details with us, and you agree we may notify them if you miss several daily check-ins in a row. This is a courtesy feature, offered on a best-effort basis, and must not be relied upon for emergencies.
You’re responsible for activity on your account. Keep your device and email secure. You can pause, set “away” dates, or delete your account at any time.
Sunrise Circle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that check-ins, calls, messages, or notifications will be timely, uninterrupted, or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of other members or trusted contacts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sunrise Circle and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including any reliance on a check-in, match, notification, or escalation.
We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version here and update the date; significant changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
